The Chasing M2 S is a powerful, entry-level industrial-grade drone option for those who wish to take their underwater exploration and survey to the next level. This Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle or ROUV greatly enhances your capabilities to survey unobtrusively and respectfully in and around the environments and wildlife that you may be operating. With a deployment time of around three minutes, the drone requires little preparation and can be operated by one individual due to its small form factor and weight, reducing the amount of staff needed for survey. Both increasing output and reducing costs.

This Advanced package contains the drone, controller dock, 200 Wh battery, manual reel with 200 m tether, 2 x spare motors, floodlight 2, grabber claw A and carrying case.

The drone is equipped with a rechargeable replaceable 97.68Wh battery as well as an additional 200Wh battery ideal for long-term deployments. Four powerful motors with patented 'Anti-stuck' technology propel the unit through the water at a maximum speed of 4kts. Positioning of the unit is controlled by intelligent NeptuneX algorithms which help minimise the effects of oceanic drift and currents on the unit, enabling precise control no matter the conditions. Controlled by a tethered RC3 control unit which is run through a tablet or phone of your choosing, there is no risk of losing connection. A visual survey is conducted through a 4K + EIS image stabilised camera with a 1/2.3" SONY CMOS sensor paired with an F2.8 lens. This can provide a max 4K video resolution with a 12MP max stills photo resolution. The camera has 150° FOV and is flanked by two 2000 Lm lights, providing excellent visibility in low light conditions and with a colour rendering index of 85, helping show images in their true colours deep underwater. Lights can be dimmed by 3 steps from the control console. This is complemented by the addition of the Chasing Floodlight 2.0 which adds two additional points of 2000lm illumination. The control app provides a real-time video feed for you to control your drone and real-time environmental data so that you can conduct surveys in ideal conditions. For enhanced functionality, this advanced package includes the grabber claw A, ideal for sampling. The arm offers an adjustable grabbing force of 7 kg and a maximum 12 cm opening. The claw mount offers a 10° elevation angle between the claw and drone, ensuring that the view is left unobscured and the claw retains full mobility. All of this can be achieved to a maximum working depth of 100m.

The drone can be adapted for any situation with the addition of optional modules (please see accessories). These include a floodlight array, distance-locking sonar for control in confined spaces and Go Pro mounting points.
