If you are publishing a book on wildlife, conservation or ecology, we have the widest reach to your readership, both in the UK and internationally.

Trade Distribution

To ensure the widest possible audience for your book, we market and supply all trade distributed books to the book trade. This includes specialist bookshops in the UK and abroad, and wholesalers who supply independent high street shops. We also supply library wholesalers, Amazon and the Book Depository.

We are able to take on your backlist as well as newly published titles.

Simple Pricing Structure

We charge a flat percentage based on sales revenue (no sales – no fees to pay); there are no additional charges for storage, insurance, or administration. We report sales and stock on a monthly basis and submit payments to your bank account monthly or quarterly. If you are based outside the UK, we will submit payment in your local currency. In some cases, we are able offer a fulfilment service for your own orders for a flat fee per book; this is subject to minimum quantities.

Storage

When you choose NHBS as your trade distributor, we will store your books in our warehouse at no cost to you (quantities to be agreed in advance). By having your books in stock at all times, we can significantly increase sales of your books. In many cases, we are able to store your entire print run in our pallet storage unit on site.

Insurance

We insure your stock comprehensively against damage while in our warehouse.

Review Copies

When you work with us to distribute your new book to the book trade, we will help you send review copies to the most appropriate national and international review publications. We will also send legal deposit copies to the relevant UK libraries.
