NHBS exists to support science and conservation by supplying wildlife and environment books and equipment. Everything we do is focused on that and these core values are why we are in business. We also support conservation by encouraging and helping our staff to take part in volunteer schemes and through our distribution and affiliate services.
NHBS staff are passionate about wildlife and conservation. To help them to get involved with local volunteer schemes, we encourage all staff members to apply for up to three days of paid time during each calendar year which they can spend on a practical conservation project of their choice. To date, members of our team have been involved with bat monitoring, Bioblitz weekends, educational events for local families and rehabilitating marine mammals. You can follow their adventures on our blog, the Conservation Hub
