Big Garden Birdwatch 2017
Every year the RSPB conducts one of the world's biggest weekend bird surveys, the Big Garden Birdwatch. The 2017 event happens over the weekend of 28th - 30th January and information is available now on the RSPB website.

Virus key in white-nose syndrome research
Research is being conducted by Penn State University on a virus found in the fungus that causes white-nose syndrome in bats. While the fungus itself is clonal, the virus has regional variation and this information can be used to discover more about the spread of the disease.
